BRIEF BROOKSIDE HISTORY
Brookside on the Rattlesnake was a concept developed in the early 1980’s by A. Warren Wilcox, Robert Rowe and J. J. Lubbers. The objective was to develop a quality residential neighborhood offering care-free living in harmony with the Rattlesnake Valley and the surrounding community.
Brookside’s townhomes enjoy the combination of spacious lawns, paved paths, ponds, streams and wild undeveloped areas. There are now, as fully developed, 73 units in a variety of configurations ranging from multi-unit to detached.
The Brookside Community Association, Inc., is the governing body of the townhomes. Its Board of Directors assures the community is maintained in pristine condition which includes painting the units, tending to the landscaping, plowing and shoveling snow, washing windows and all other tasks which make for care-free living. Wildlife also claim Brookside as home where deer, bear, foxes, eagles, owls and even mountain lions are spotted from time to time.
There are plenty of opportunities to meet your neighbors on strolls on the paved paths by the ponds and streams. There is also a summer picnic along with the annual owners’ meeting in the fall.
